Christmas â la carte Menu 2011

A culinary delight, housed in a 400 year old converted milking parlour on a working farm in Bassaleg, just minutes away from the main road and close to the M4.

With oak beams and nooks and crannies covered in an incredible photographic display of Celebrities (many of whom have dined there over the years), an array of antiquities and a baby grand piano playing softly in the background, there is such a welcoming, homely Olde Worlde feel in this à la carte restaurant.

Your table is yours for the night and you are never rushed in the relaxed atmosphere of the Farmer’s Daughter, which closes when the last diners leave.

The food is locally sourced where possible, ingredients are always fresh, bought daily and selected on quality not budget.  All dietary needs are catered for from vegetarians to allergy sufferers and there is a well balanced children’s menu and an early bird menu too!  There are also 14 exotic meats on the menu, including Zebra, Camel and Crocodile!!

Traditional Sunday lunches are very popular with four meats served weekly accompanied by delicious seasonal vegetables, not to mention the beautiful, mouth watering home made desserts!

We are proud to support Fair Trade products!  We stock Fair Trade wines, Fair Trade Dwyfor filter coffee and freshly ground espresso, Welsh Fair Trade bottled water.  We also have local wines and Carmarthenshire based Cig Calon Welsh beef.

If you would like to speak with us to see how we would help you, please get in touch either on the numbers opposite or simply complete the form and we will get in touch with you!  We look forward to welcoming you for a truly relaxing and memorable dining experience
